Gian Wild has published 24 research papers in web and digital accessibility, presented at international conferences including the ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium, HCI International, the International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs, and Web4All. Gian’s papers are available through ResearchGate.
Her research covers the full breadth of digital accessibility practice: empirical testing of video players, social media platforms, and slideshows against accessibility standards; the development and refinement of mobile site and native app accessibility testing methodology; accessibility in higher education and e-government; and the unique challenges created by mobile interfaces. Several papers were co-authored with colleagues including Sheri Byrne-Haber, Megha Rajopadhye, and Daniel Craddock.
Notable papers include “The Inaccessibility of Video Players” (published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2018), “Are PDFs an Accessible Solution?” (International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs, 2016), and “Accessibility Roadmap for Tertiary Institutions” (AHFE 2023).
From 2026, Gian has also been publishing research under Veritable Research in areas beyond accessibility, including artificial intelligence and consciousness. Those papers are listed separately.
