Fiction
Gian Wild writes fiction when time allows — which is not often enough. Her debut work, The Kindness of Strangers, was written in November 2008 as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), the annual challenge to write a 50,000-word novel in thirty days. The result is a collection of linked short stories set in Melbourne, each centred on an act of unexpected kindness between strangers — some comic, some tender, some quietly devastating. The book features Benny, her beloved Pomeranian cross terrier, who appears as himself. She hopes to write more fiction. She always hopes to write more fiction.
Gian’s Short Stories
Gian has written many more short stories than what is included here – she will add them as she has time.
